Hi my anme is Jim & my son is 5 years of age now & was diagnosed with adhd. My son receives Physical, Occupatioal, speech & Play therapy 2-3 times per week due to a Stroke at age 1 leaving his right side partially parlyzied. he is doing better now other than his focusing & paying attention.
It takes him a while to eat , do homework but he will sit infront of the tv for 1-2 hours if he is interested. My wife & I try to put only educational show.
My son’s vocabulary is of about a 7 year old his teachers have told us but he doesn’t have autism luckily.
I have been reading about side effects of medications for children with adhd & it scares me that they can cause a stroke,etc.,.
With all of our resources why do we not put money into alternative methods instead of drugs all the time. No wonder our society of kids, children are so curiious with experimenting with other narcotics etc.
Pls advise
Thank you.
